AT&T U-verse (New Fiber Optic Technology)

Today, I am very excited  because we are getting a new TV & internet service from AT&T.  This service is fairly new and called U-verse.  I found it when I was paying my phone bill online and it said I qualified for a $200 Reward card if I got U-verse.  As curious as I was, I clicked the link and found this awesome television experience per the information.  It was available in my area so I was like, 'Hey, why not try it.  U-verse has a 30-day money back guarantee. I can always switch back to DirecTV if I don't like it"  I scheduled the appointment to have it installed and today is the day.  The tech will be here between 11am - 1pm.

What Is U-verse?
AT&T U-verse uses fiber optic technology and computer networking to bring you:
  • Advanced digital TV
  • High speed Internet
  • Digital home phone service

Click here to learn more about U-verse and click here to find out Why I Switched.

From all the information I have read & the videos I have watch about U-verse, is why I am so excited.  See for yourself and click the links above.  Hey, they may have it in your area!!

Oh yeah, did I mention I am saving money?
Here is my breakdown in what I pay with DirecTV & Comcast (internet).
  • DirecTV total cost with HD channels, HBO & Showtime = $145.00 a month (no DVR)
  • Comcast High Speed Internet = $72.00 a month
  • Total cost a month for DirecTV & Comcast = $217.00 a month
With AT&T U-verse, I am getting all the above, plus DVR & more for a cost of $180.00.  Doesn't seem like much but every dollar saved counts!

  1. Sounds like you made a good deal! Our Comcast internet is not $72/mon! Good grief. We're locked in at $45/mon. We have DishNetwork through Embarq (or whatever it's called this month, CenturyLink?) on our home phone account. :)

  2. I'm including all the taxes in the cost. We used to have Comcast at $45 a month but they kept rising the prices and now has reached $65 a month plus I have the highest speed Comcast provides so not sure. The cost is different in different areas I suppose :)

  5. I have U-Verse and love it! I love that I can DVR up to four things at once... which just means I watch entirely too much TV!
