What I Woke Up To

Last night, the news weather man said that there was a winter storm warning for cities & counties north of us. That here in Memphis area, we were only gonna get rain & sleet. Well, behold, my hubby wakes me up at 5:30am to tell me he is going into work early due to the snow. I was like 'WHAT' and I walked him to the door. To my amazement there was already 3 inches of snow on the ground with it still snowing it's tail off. As I am talking to my hubby out the door, I hear a faint voice, mind you, it's very quiet when it snows, you could hear a pin drop. It turned out to be my neighbor across the street. She came over with her daughter & hubby and watched the snow fall for a bit.

This is how it is here in the Memphis area, (well I live in Southaven, MS which is 5 minutes from Memphis city limits) when the weather men tells us, it's NOT going to affect us, it DOES. I took a few pictures to show you guys what it looked like.  We don't normally get this much snow here where I live.  You can see my neighbors footprints in the snow. My neighbors who came over are the ones with their lights on in the windows across the street in the pictures below.

Snow Day for the kids. We are gonna have some much fun playing in the snow when they wake up.
I'll take pictures of that and post later on.

  2. Yes I know! Snow looks pretty but driving in it with all the people who think they should be driving at 65 MPH is crazy!! So I will pass on the snow. Of course, we have already gotten 20 inches! Yikes!! Enjoy your snow day!
