Part 1 - Frame by Frame "Kings & Queens" video

30 Seconds to Mars is no stranger to Epic (yes, that’s a capital “e”) music videos. The band has already made ground-breaking videos in China and the Arctic, and while “Kings and Queens,” their latest effort, was filmed in Los Angeles (with some scenes literally shot in frontman Jared Leto’s back yard), the video is no less grand in scope.

Leto is passionate when talking about the video (no surprise there, considering he not only wrote the song but also directed the clip). “That shot was one of the earliest shots I storyboarded,” he said, referring to an immaculately framed silhouette shot of dozens of bikers moving in slow motion, backed by a sunset. And while he admits that a lot of the shots were painstakingly set-up and difficult to get, a few of the iconic moments from the video were achieved through happy accidents. “We were supposed to shoot downtown, but shot the other way instead because the smog was so bad,” he said of one sequence. So you can thank the notorious Los Angeles air pollution for those shimmering silhouette shots of the band.

Fun fact: “Kings and Queens” is filled with allusions to other art forms. Some of the bikers are dressed as the Baseball Furies gang from the cult movie “The Warriors,” and at one point a frame of the video meticulously recreates underground artist Banksy’s “Flower Chucker” graffiti. Leto even directed the video under the alias “Bartholomew Cubbins,” a recurring character in the Dr. Seuss universe.

The video is split between two parts: 30STM performing on a cliff edge in Griffith Park, overlooking Los Angeles, and a gang of cyclists riding through an abandoned city. Leto couldn’t speak highly enough about how great the bike-riding extras were during production of the video. After pointing out a few of the particularly committed members of the cast, Jared related that he “really couldn’t get enough of them.

That was my favorite part about editing, was trying to get these individuals in there.” “Kings and Queens” is an impressive video feat, and there was so much to say from this edition of “Frame By Frame” that we had to break it into two parts. Enjoy the first part below, and stay tuned for the second part.

48 Hour Mystery TONIGHT - MUST SEE

** Don't forget to watch CBS's '48 Hours Mystery' tonight at 9pm CT tonight which is about the post below...after you watch, let me know your opinions by commenting on this post!

To view the 48 Hours Mystery regarding the West Memphis 3, click here.

I live in the tri-state area of Arkansas, Tennessee & Mississippi. Back in 1993, a heinous crime happened in West Memphis, Arkansas which is about 15 minutes from where I live over the Mississippi River bridge. The crime left three 8 year-old boys dead and 3 teenage boys punished for the crime. I have never believed that these teenage boys, which are my age at the time, did this crime. If you live in this area, you know that West Memphis police were nasty police officers and incompetent jack***es.  I know because I hung out with people over there and had run in with the police a few times in my teenage & young adult life.

These teenage boys were into heavy-metal music and books about witchcraft and this is why there were targeted for this crime. Since they were convicted of the crime, they have been called 'The West Memphis Three' or 'WM3'. I firmly believe they are innocent and the real murderer of these innocent young, little boys is roaming free as we speak or has already died. I, at one point, thought one of the 8 year-old boys stepfather had some role in the crime. I have read the book & watched the documentary and boy did the police mess all the evidence up and not following leads.  The ironic thing is, the prosecutor of the WM3 was John Fogleman, who is my oldest son's great uncle & was promoted Judge probably due to winning these cases.  I don't know what to think about that and how someone could send them to prison with NO evidence and with just heresay.

There are many others who support The West Memphis Three which include Ozzy Osborne, Eddie Vedder, Winona Ryder, Dixie Chicks and Johnny Depp.  CBS's  48 Hours Mystery will air a one-hour special dedicated to the WM3 case on Saturday, Feb. 27, 10PM ET/PT. There are no complete details but it will feature an extensive interview with Damien Echols, JM Byers, supporters and a legal update on the case.  Depp will also appear on "48 Hours Mystery" to call for reopening the case of the West Memphis Three -- convicted as teenagers of beating three 8-year-olds to death in 1994 -- because he believes they never got a fair trial.

Brief Overview
Case Synopsis by Burk Sauls
Case Synopsis by Dan Stidham
Chronology of Events
Crime Library's Concise Primer
Books & Films
Evidence Archives
Videos  must see
I've seen HBO Documentary: Paradise Lost: The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills
I've also read Devil's Knot: The True Story of The West Memphis Three by Mara Leveritt
I want to read The Blood of Innocents: The True Story of Multiple Murder in West Memphis

It is with great sadness that 3 precious little boys will never grow up, be with family, marry or have kids, they were defenseless!

Then there are the WM3, who are robbed of their freedom of a crime they never committed. There is NO evidence that these 3 teenagers did torture or kill these innocent boys.

I would love my readers to read through all my links & tune in this Saturday to watch 48 Hours Mystery and would love your take or opinion on this case.

Blogger Uncovered

Good morning all!

Adori Graphics has a post every week or so about Blogger Uncovered. and I am please to announce that I am the next blogger uncovered.  You can hop on over to her blog and find my blogger uncovered post and ask me some questions about me.   This is the time to really get to know me.

I know I started my blog just to post my free blogger templates, background & headers but now that I have merged with Leelou Blogs, my blog has become my personal blog.  I know I don't blog much about my life but this is all very new to me.  I will eventually be posting more about my life as it comes and I get used to telling about it.

Let me truly introduce myself to all my followers:
Hello, my name is Heather and known to some as Butterflygirlms. I am a stay at home mom of 3 crazy rugrats who are Owen (O-man- nickname), my 10 year-old artist, Avery (Sweet Pea - nickname) my 6 year-old drama queen and Evan (Small Fry- nickname) my 2 year-old risktaker.  I have been married to my wonderful hubby for 5 years now - 6 years in May.  I am from the south and my hubby is from Long Island, New York.  We also have 2 dogs - Gypsy, a mix and Athena, a bullmastiff.  We also have 1 cat named Desi.  My animals are also my family.  I have a very close relationship with my family.  I have two older sisters who I love dearly but sometimes I can't understand.

I think I am spiritual than religious, in other words not sure which religion I believe whole-heartedly. I take bits-n-pieces of belief from every different religion that's why I need to find somewhere I belong or just continue my works here at home in my own church.

I learned I had a gift of designing social networks back in 2006 when I created a myspace layout and as you can see has grown.  My ultimate goal right now in designing is for me to create my very own digiscrap kits.

When I am not designing, I love to be with my kids & hubby.  Visit my parents every week.  Enjoy my family & friends. I love to read mystery novels.  We have a collection of books and need a new bookshelf because it is overflowing. (my hubby hobby is making furniture so he needs to get on the ball on that one) Go to dinners with my hubby.  I feel like I should be doing more but I am content with what it is right now.

There is much more to know so head on over to Adori Graphics and leave your questions.

Why just the left knee??

I have come to realize that my sweet pea is only crawling on her left leg in her kindergarten class.  Back in October, I bought all new jeans for her.  Here it is now at the end of February and all her jeans has a hole in them on her left knee.  The right knee of the jeans are in perfect shape.  I am trying to figure this one out because when I was a kid, I had both knee holes in my pair of jeans and it wasn't ALL my jeans.  This girl must play HARD at school on JUST  her left knee.  I am baffled.  I believe she has about 7 pairs of jeans and only 2 do not have holes but 1 is on the way by the looks of it.  Maybe I just bought cheap jeans but they are the brand  Lei which are a little higher than Faded Glory at Wally World.  The ones that don't have holes in them yet are the  Faded Glory...seems the cheaper brand is the BEST in my eyes.

Does anyone else have this problem with their kids jeans?

Housewife Attention Deficit Disorder

This is how it develops:

I decide to water my garden.

As I turn on the hose in the driveway, I look over at my car and decide my car needs washing.

As I start toward the garage, I notice that there is mail on the porch table that I brought up from the mailbox earlier.

I decide to go through the mail before I wash the car.

I lay my car keys down on the table, put the junk mail in the garbage can under the table, and notice that the can is full. So, I decide to put the bills back on the table and take out the garbage first.

But then I think, since I'm going to be near the mailbox, when I take out the garbage anyway, I may as well pay the bills first. I take my checkbook off the table, and see that there is only 1 check left. My extra checks are in my desk in the study, so I go inside the house to my desk where I find the can of Coke that I had been drinking.

I'm going to look for my checks, but first I need to push the Coke aside so that I don't accidentally knock it over. I see that the Coke is getting warm, and I decide I should put it in the refrigerator to keep it cold. As I head toward the kitchen with the Coke, a vase of flowers on the counter catches my eye--they need to be watered.

I set the Coke down on the counter, and I discover my reading glasses that I've been searching for all morning. I decide I better put them back on my desk, but first I'm going to water the flowers.

I set the glasses back down on the counter, fill a container with water and suddenly I spot the TV remote Someone left it on the kitchen table. I realize that tonight when we go to watch TV, I will be looking for the remote, but I won't remember that it's on the kitchen table, so I decide to put it back in the den where it belongs, but first I'll water the flowers. I pour some water in the flowers, but quite a bit of it spills on the floor. So, I set the remote back down on the table, get some towels and wipe up the spill. Then, I head down the hall trying to remember what I was planning to do.

At the end of the day:
----the car isn't washed,
----the bills aren't paid,
----there is a warm can of Coke sitting on the counter,
----the flowers don't have enough water,
----there is still only 1 check in my check book,
----I can't find the remote,
----I can't find my glasses,
----and I don't remember what I did with the car keys.

Then, when I try to figure out why nothing got done today, I'm really baffled because I know I was busy all day long, and I'm really tired.

I realize this is a serious problem, and I'll try to get some help for it, but first I'll check my e-mail.

Snow Fun

This kids had a ball playing in the snow.

What I Woke Up To

Last night, the news weather man said that there was a winter storm warning for cities & counties north of us. That here in Memphis area, we were only gonna get rain & sleet. Well, behold, my hubby wakes me up at 5:30am to tell me he is going into work early due to the snow. I was like 'WHAT' and I walked him to the door. To my amazement there was already 3 inches of snow on the ground with it still snowing it's tail off. As I am talking to my hubby out the door, I hear a faint voice, mind you, it's very quiet when it snows, you could hear a pin drop. It turned out to be my neighbor across the street. She came over with her daughter & hubby and watched the snow fall for a bit.

This is how it is here in the Memphis area, (well I live in Southaven, MS which is 5 minutes from Memphis city limits) when the weather men tells us, it's NOT going to affect us, it DOES. I took a few pictures to show you guys what it looked like.  We don't normally get this much snow here where I live.  You can see my neighbors footprints in the snow. My neighbors who came over are the ones with their lights on in the windows across the street in the pictures below.

Snow Day for the kids. We are gonna have some much fun playing in the snow when they wake up.
I'll take pictures of that and post later on.

Valentine Jokes

I just had a dream about it
A young woman was taking an afternoon nap.  After she woke up, she told her husband, "I just dreamed that you gave me a pearl necklace for Valentine's day.  What do you think it means?"

"You'll know tonight." he said.

That evening, the man came home with a small package and gave it to his wife. Delighted, she opened it ---only to find book entitled "The Meaning of Dreams."

I'm sending out some cards
A guys walks into a post office one day to see a middle-aged, balding man standing at the counter methodically placing "Love" stamps on bright pink envelops with hearts all over them.  He then takes out a perfume bottle and starts spraying scent all over them.

His curiosity getting the better of him, he goes up to the balding man and asks him what he is doing.  The man says, "I'm sending out one thousand Valentine cards signed, 'Guess who?'"

"But why?" asks the man.

"I'm a divorce lawyer," the man replies.

A Mommy Moment
Four-year-old Mitch loved candy almost as much as his mom Ann did. He and Daddy had given her a beautiful heart-shaped box of chocolates for Valentine's Day. A few days later Mitch was eyeing it, wishing to have a piece of it. As he reached out to touch one of the big pieces, Ann said to him, "If you touch it, then you have to eat it. Do you understand?"
"Oh, yes," he said, nodding his head. Suddenly his little hand patted the tops of all the pieces of candy. "Now I can eat them all."
